First, they hit Northwind. Now, the Steel Wolves are heading for Terra, capital of the Republic of the Sphere. Tara Campbell, Prefect of the Republic and Countess of Northwind, races against time to reach Terra first. Can she stop the Steel Wolves' attack?
Threatened with exposure, Paladin Ezekiel Crow has also returned to Terra in an attempt to cover up his secret past and discover who has found him out. He betrayed Tara Campbell when he fled Northwind, but how will he deal with her on his home turf?
Anastasia Kerensky is the leader of the Steel Wolves. But her leadership is not absolute nor unchallenged. Before turning towards Terra, she must defeat her enemies and defend her honor in a Circle of Equals.
