Theodore Kurita has grown to adulthood in the byzantine atmosphere of Draconis Combine politics. In a family where sons frequently kill their fathers, is it any wonder that his father Takashi is suspicious and distrustful of young Theodore?
Feeling that his son needs to mature and take his position as heir more responsibly, Takashi banishes him to the Legion of Vega, a misfit unit in the Combine military. There, through the long years of the Fourth Succession War and the War of 3039, Theodore will come into his own as a man... and as a leader.
