Though a member of the Draconis Combine's ruling house, Chandrasekhar "Uncle Chandy" Kurita is a businessman first and foremost and has interests on many worlds, including some in the Combine's rival state the Federated Suns. When a renegade group of Combine soldiers, adherents of the secretive Black Dragon Society, invades the world of Towne, threatening Uncle Chandy's business there, he sends in his crack mercenaries, the 17th Recon Battalion, also known as Camacho's Caballeros.
Stranded on Towne after the Black Dragon invasion, Cassie Suthorn and the Caballeros must find a way to defeat them before the situation turns into an international incident.
