Horse is a Jade Falcon warrior, though many within his own Clan would gladly see him dead. He has been sent to the Smoke Jaguar world of Huntress, where his Khan wishes him to investigate a top secret project being conducted by their Clan's scientists. Leading his all-freeborn unit to Huntress, Horse is captured by the Jaguars.
Now Galaxy Commander Brandon Howell is determined to break Horse. But Horse is equally determined to resist and he has reserves of strength that Howell can't begin to touch. Who will give in first?
