House Liao has invaded the Republic!
The troops of House Liao, acting on decades of frustration and anger, have invaded the worlds of the Republic. Aaron Sandoval and his SwordSworn stand in their way, ready to fight to preserve Devlin Stone's dream.
Or is he? For Aaron Sandoval has plans of his own that don't include continued loyalty to a failed state.
As part of his plan, Sandoval sends his young cousin Erik, fresh from the battlefields of New Aragon, to the planet Shensi to bring that world into the new alliance that Aaron is forming. Erik is about to find out that blood may be thicker than water, but ambition will win every time.
