News publishing now works
I finally got publishing news articles to work.
I realized this morning that the problem wasn't that I didn't have the proper permissions to create the article file, but that I was trying to create the file in a non-existent directory.
So, obviously, the solution was to create the appropriate directory structure before trying to save the file. With the help of some code from the PHP Cookbook I was able to get it working.
Now, on to the next thing!
