A little of this... a little of that...
Another poll, an updated download, and some tweaks to the site.
So this poll, which actually went up last Saturday and I'm only now getting around to mentioning, asks the question "What is your favorite Battle Armor model?" One of the coolest things about the introduction of the Clans, I think, was the introduction of Battle Armor. I fondly recall reading the first scenes with Elementals (or "Toads," if you will) in Lethal Heritage. Here were some truly strange troops that were fascinating and frightening at the same time. Remember the scene in Trial of Vengeance where that Kurita Atlas sees a buttload of Elementals coming at him? I've had nightmares just like that.
Of course, as time went on, the Inner Sphere developed its own Battle Armor types and the Clans introduced more to keep up their superiority. And the Dark Age setting introduces yet another few models (I didn't include these in the poll). So which one is your favorite? The classic Elemental suit or perhaps the Capellan Fa Shih? Or maybe even a Lyran quad suit? Tell us.
On the downloads front, I've updated the House Kurita family tree to include Miyako Kurita, daughter of Isoroku and the current (3067) Keeper of House Honor.
Lastly, I've begun implementing some tweaks to the site itself that I've long wanted to put in place. First up is including a file size for each downloadable file. Also, each source page now contains an index of which entries on the site are referenced in that particular source. And I've finally bought myself a scanner, so I'm starting to add cover images to all the source pages.
Before I go, if you have any ideas for future polls, don't hesitate to let me know.
See ya later!
