Wolf's Dragoons
Originally a Clan scouting mission to the Inner Sphere, the Dragoons masqueraded as a mercenary unit and worked for all five of the Successor States while gathering information. After several years, however, they turned from the Clans and dedicated themselves to preparing the Inner Sphere for the eventual invasion. The Dragoons suffered through a civil war in the aftermath of the Clan invasion, but are still considered the best mercenary unit in the Inner Sphere.
