Basantapur Treaty
In the wake of Alexander Davion's victory in the Davion Civil War, efforts were begun to annex the United Hindu Collective, a highly-industrialized, 17-world nation located spinward of the Federated Suns. During the war, forces loyal to Alexander had respected the Collective's borders and the Maharaja of Basantapur responded favorably to the First Prince's diplomatic overtures. The friendly relations between the two nations resulted in the signing of the Basantapur Treaty in 2540. With Alexander Davion and the Maharaja as signatories, the treaty made the United Hindu Collective a semi-autonomous state within the Federated Suns.
