ComStar Historical Archives

One of the most devastating consequences of the tumultuous end to the 31st century was the widespread destruction of much of ComStar's archives on Terra. The main historical and cultural archive at the Hilton Head facility was particularly hard hit not just once, but twice within the course of a few decades. The heretical Word of Blake movement's conquest of Terra in 3058 inflicted some destruction on the archives, but by far the greatest damage was incurred during the final days of the Blakist Jihad and the allied forces' assault on the last remnants of the sect.

Luckily with the passing of years since the end of that terrible war, we of ComStar have rebuilt much of the information that was lost, using minor archives and external sources to reconstruct the damaged information. With our network of Acolytes, Demi-Precentors, and Precentors severely diminished throughout the Inner Sphere as a result of the Jihad, and with the emphasis in the post-Jihad years on rebuilding society rather than reconstructing archival materials, it has taken a long time to assemble this information and the task is not yet complete.

However, those of us who remain in the ranks of ComStar are nothing if not diligent, industrious, and dedicated to the task. I have no doubt that my team and I will accomplish the task to which we have turned our efforts.
